Literature Text

You called me princess because I thought my name sounded like royalty
And I said that you are my knight in shining armour, Sir.
I promised that, for only you, I'd slip in a good word with the Queen.

You picked me up in your distinct dodger blue steel stallion,
When you rescued me from near death, you dipped me in the river of life.
I told you fantastic myths that were sure to come true.

We followed the valley trails to our heart's content,
Winding through paths we'd never ventured together.
The world's big beautiful backyard, our Kingdom.

We rode the seven sea's rolling waves embarking upon our own ship.
You unsuperstitiously let me board a vessel that you manned with expertise
And chivalrously took my hand as we climbed atop the mountains on shore.

Was it my imagination when time seemed to cease with your kiss?
Because I did not see the dragons nor the fairies that you did.
I saw an evil barring my way to happiness with you, and you would not slay it.

As a knight, you have a duty to uphold with your round table.
And the cards you are dealt are not always hearts.
I should have known that you were not Prince Charming in disguise.

I'm pretty impressed with this one, because there's a lot of underlying meaning... not intentionally sexual but could be. Maybe nobody will get the true meaning, maybe that's the point. Maybe it's only for me to understand...
