DJ's second challenge -- The Earth Elemental.
We nicknamed him Earthy although I'm pretty sure he's a potentially evil character. The Description I was given: The Earth Elemental is a bulky and menacing character barrel chested and unsymetrical he is made of stone and has no distinct face. I was told to shade using plenty of contrast and make him look like he was crawling out of the ground with dirt, stones and grass falling off his back and an expression like he's staring into your soul. I'm not sure I was able to achieve everything this time, but I think I'm satisfied with the outcome. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
